About Me

I have been married to a wonderful man named Robert for 20 years and we have 3 children, a son-in-law and 2 amazing grandsons. We relocated to the area from Fort Worth in 2017 and currently reside in Kemah where we are able to enjoy sailing, boating and being on the water.

I graduated from DeSoto High School and began attending a community college and later graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.  I worked in the corporate field for 20 years and then I was able to stay at home with my children for about 6 years.  During that time I taught pre-school for 2 years and absolutely loved it.  When it was time to go back to work, I decided not to go back to the corporate world and I took a position with Fort Worth ISD as an assistant to the Director of Psychological Services.  It was then that I realized that I truly wanted to teach and that every child wants to learn and deserves to have the opportunity to learn and to do so in a great environment!  So….I pursued my teaching certification and began teaching here at Hamblen 6 years ago.  This year, I have taken on a new position as a Math Instructional Coach and am truly excited to see what great things this year will bring!
