My name is Jose Lopez and I am honored and humbled to serve as the principal of Hamblen Elementary.  I am very passionate about education and look forward to partnering with you to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging and high quality education.  Most of all, I look forward to working with our students and continuing the strong history of academic excellence here at Hamblen Elementary.

Throughout my educational career, I have been privileged to have spent almost 20 wonderful years as an educator working with students from the elementary level.  I have served as a teacher, math specialist, assistant principal and now principal.  My academic background includes a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Texas Pan American and a Masters of Science in Educational Administration from Lamar University. 

It is my core belief that great schools are the results of great teachers, so my primary objective will be to ensure that every student is receiving high-quality instruction from every teacher at Hamblen Elementary.  I envision a Hamblen Elementary that will prepare ALL of our students academically, socially, and emotionally for the bright future that awaits them.  We will strive to provide all students with a safe and supportive learning environment.  My belief is that every child can and will learn if given the right opportunities.  Working together as a team with our staff and parents, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best.  Together we will continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities and a culture of academic excellence for our students.

My name is Rosalyn Thierry and I am an educator with degrees in Psychology, Education, and Curriculum and Instruction. I have over 22 years in the education field and administration.
My philosophy is simple- I believe all students can succeed. I am here to assist students in reaching their maximum academic potential.
I am a life-long learner with a passion for helping students succeed. I look forward to helping learners meet their educational goals and manage their behavior.
In addition, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, laughing as much as possible, and exploring social media. I also spend any spare time that I may have couponing and crafting.

It is an honor to introduce myself as an Assistant Principal at Hamblen Elementary School.  My name is Amanda Sanchez-Loa, and I am looking forward to carrying on the great tradition that Hamblen Elementary has of being a fantastic learning environment for all students.

I have loved being a Channelview educator for 11 years!  I began my teaching career in Channelview immediately after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston. I received my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction- Mathematics Education at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012. Being a lifelong learner, I attended and completed Lamar University’s Program Certificate in Principal Educational Leadership.

I have served Channelview as a fourth-grade bilingual teacher, math specialist, and now as an assistant principal. I have enjoyed collaborating with district coaches, campus teachers, parents, and students throughout my career.

My interactions with numerous Channelview educators have helped mold me into the leader that I am today. Great schools are a result of great teachers, and I look forward to the continued collaboration with the staff and families of Hamblen Elementary to ensure that all students continue to grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Hamblen Elementary is truly a special place to be, and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of the team!
