Background: I grew up in Channelview ISD. During high school, I transferred to North Shore Senior High School and graduated in 2001. After graduation, I joined the United States Air Force as a security forces officer. I served in the military for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 2005. Before coming to the Early Childhood Center, in Channelview ISD, I taught for 3 years in Galena Park ISD at Purple Sage Elementary as a PPCD pre-k teacher.

College: San Jacinto Community College - Associate's of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies

University of Houston/Clearlake - Bachelor's of Science (K-6 generalist & ec-12 special education)

Ms. Lakoa graduated from Aleif Elsik High School in Aleif ISD in 2003. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in 2008 in Kinesiology and minored in Child and Family Development. She has a 9-year-old son who attends school in Channelview ISD. She loves working with kids and they love her. She aspires to become a certified teacher/coach.

Ms. Elaina graduated from North Shore Senior High School in Galena Park ISD in 2018. She went to Sam Houston State University, then transferred to San Jacinto Community College where she received an Associate's degree in Childhood Development. She wants to be a teacher of either Pre-K or art. She loves Disney, painting, reading, and listening to music.
