My name is Miss Ursprung, and I am the music teacher at Hamblen Elementary. I am SO excited to be here this year.

This is my 12th year of teaching. I first taught elementary music at Crockett Elementary in Goose Creek ISD. Since then, I have been working for Channelview ISD--nine years as a music teacher at Cobb Elementary, one year as an assistant choir director at Alice Johnson, and this year, I will be the music teacher at Hamblen Elementary.

I have both instrumental and vocal experience. I was a percussionist in junior high and high school band. I served as a drum major during my senior year of high school (2001-2002). I studied music at Lee College and transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University, where I received a Bachelor of Music with a concentration in voice.

I have been involved in numerous stage productions and musicals as an actor and crew member in shows such as "Hairspray," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Little Mermaid."

I enjoy playing piano, spending time with friends and family, going swimming, playing video games, and enjoying life. My hobbies also include songwriting and performing.
