My name is Catherine Joseph and I am so excited to welcome you and your child to fourth grade! We are going to have a wonderful year together full of learning, fun, and adventures. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for us! Here is a little information about me! I have lived in Texas all of my life. I grew up in Jersey Village, Texas before moving to Huntsville, TX for college. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University in 2016. After graduating, I moved back home to and decided to follow my passion for working with children and become a teacher! In 2021, I graduated with my Master’s in Education Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Go Panthers! I now live in Houston, Texas When I am not teaching, you can usually find me hanging out with family, crafting, or traveling.
This is my eighth year teaching. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth, but this is my second year teaching at DeZavala. Before that, I taught third grade in Houston ISD and fourth grade at KIPP. I LOVE teaching math! My goal as a teacher is to instill a lifelong love for learning. I also love celebrating the unique gifts that each child brings to the classroom. Therefore, I make it my mission to build a classroom community filled with kindness, compassion, and respect for all.
In the meantime, please feel free to contact me via email at catherine.joseph@cvisd.org with any questions. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and cannot wait to meet you! See you soon!
