About Me

Welcome to my corner of the educational universe! I am thrilled to introduce myself as an Algebra 1 teacher with a passion for nurturing a love of learning and fostering personal growth. In my classroom, I aim to ignite the spark of curiosity and independence in each of my students.

My teaching philosophy orbits around the belief that true learning transcends the confines of a traditional classroom. I encourage my students to become captains of their own educational journeys, guiding them to take ownership of their learning process. By instilling the value of responsibility, I empower my students to not only excel in Algebra 1 but also to develop the essential skills they need to thrive in all aspects of life. I firmly believe that the success of my students requires a collaborative effort between school and home, with the guardians playing a pivotal role in supporting and holding students accountable for their learning journey.

Beyond the world of equations and variables, I am immensely proud to serve as the campus PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) sponsor. This role allows me to nurture leadership qualities in young minds, helping them become compassionate and effective leaders within their school community. Through PAL, I see firsthand the incredible potential that lies within each student, waiting to be harnessed and directed towards positive change.

Education is not just my profession; it's my calling. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students feel empowered to voice their thoughts, ask questions, and explore the beauty of mathematics. Together, we embark on a journey that transforms challenges into opportunities and equations into life lessons.

Join me in this adventure of growth, self-discovery, and academic excellence. Let us recognize that the path to success is a collaborative one, with teachers, students, and guardians working hand in hand to cultivate the leaders and learners of tomorrow.
