Lindsay McGill has been the debate coach at Channelview High School since December of 2009.   She was a competitive Interper for 11 years - 3 years of middle school, 4 years of high school, 4 years of college.  During her competitive career she qualified for NCFL (National Catholic Forensic League) Nationals twice, was awarded the State Champion in the FFL (Florida Forensic League) event Group Interpretation, and 2nd place at Nationals in the NFA (National Forensic Association) College National Tournament in Duo Interpretation.  Lindsay also has been involved in community theater as well as high school theater productions.  As a career Speech & Debate Coach she has qualified students to TFA State every year in Policy Debate, Student Congress, Prose Interpretation, Poetry Interpretation, and Lincoln Douglas Debate. Post college, Lindsay worked in a myriad of Management and Sales positions before finally getting her alternative teaching certification in 2009 through A+ Texas Teachers and getting certified in Speech, English, and ESL.  She is currently working to earn her National Board of Teaching Professionals Certification in AYA English Language Arts & Reading. Additionally, Ms. McGill is in the process of earning her Master's Degree in Education specializing in Teacher Leadership & Gifted and Talented.
