I was born and raised in Miami, Florida where I studied English and Literature at Florida International University. During that time, I taught writing at the university. I've also spent a lot of time doing one on one tutoring both privately and at the University.

In 2014, I began teaching at Channelview High School. I've taught many classes ranging from 9th to 12th grade, including AP Literature and OnRamps Rhetoric. When I teach, I'm always keeping the eventual end-goal in mind, whether it be college, workplace, or anything else. Additionally, I focus on students' ability to self-advocate in my classroom. This means that my style revolves around students building their skills to not only do the work or learning, but also know how to recognize when to ask for help or adjustment as needed.
