ACT Academy

Mr. Alan Smith is starting his 28th year in education after having earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Masters in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. He begins his 20th year at Channelview High School (CHS) after initially joining CHS as Social Studies teacher and Coach. In 2013, he was promoted from Assistant Principal, Associate Principal to his current position as Administrator of ACT Academy.

Mr. Smith has truly been blessed to work at Channelview ISD because he has been allowed to shape and mold the future of SO MANY young lives in roles that he has served while at Channelview High School.

Mrs. Montoya was born and raised in Channelview graduating back in 1987. She has been with  Channelview ISD for 25 years starting out in the daycare working her way up to an Administrative Assistant at Channelview High School and is now proudly working beside the ACT Academy team  with the hopes in transitioning young students into making the right decisions when returning to their home campus.
