About the Channelview ISD Education Foundation (CISDEF)
The Channelview ISD Foundation:
Enhances student learning throughout Channelview ISD
Provides Teachers with creative and innovative approaches to education in CISD classrooms
Enables and encourages high school students to become college graduates
Encourages school students to explore options in the fields of science and technology
Recognizes and celebrates accomplishments of CISD students and staff
How do we do it:
Established in 2012, the Channelview ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Channelview, Texas. Comprised of volunteers who have a passion for education and excellence, the Foundation raises funds to enrich academic achievement within the Channelview Independent School District.
The Channelview ISD Education Foundation operates independently from the school district, but works in partnership with CISD to promote excellence in education. Monetary and in-kind contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible and may be designated for specific academic programs.
Donations are dedicated to enriching and enhancing student academic achievement in all academic areas including math, science, social studies, language arts, technology, and fine arts and are used to fund district initiatives, such as Teacher Innovative Grants, Student Scholarships, and Educational Technology Labs.
