Hello!
My name Ms. Flurry!
I am so excited to be your 3rd grade teacher this year!
This is my fourth year teaching, and I am excited to be your student's third grade math and science teacher!
Teaching has always been important to me! I grew up in a educational rich environment, with my mom teaching. I always wanted to help her with her classroom and create ideas for her lessons. Creating a love of learning is a value I hold true to myself, and one that I want to share with my students. I want to encourage my students to grow as individuals by supporting their unique abilities and working with them to maximize their learning. I want to instill the same love of learning upon my students that I have been developing over the years.
I am thrilled to start this year with you and grow as learners!
About Me:
I discovered my love of teaching from an early age with helping my mom in her classroom. To further my education, I received my Associate of Arts in Teaching degree from San Jacinto Community College. I went on to graduate from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood. I have always enjoyed teaching, and I am thrilled to be teaching third grade!
I grew up in North Texas in Fort Worth and moved to the Houston area about 10 years ago! I completed my education in Pasadena and Clear Lake, but I have never been more excited than I am in Channelview!
I am a fur mom to a dog and two cats that all have their own unique personalities! I love reading, watching movies, binge watching TV shows, and listening to music, especially because I am a Swiftie! Music is one of my favorite ways to express myself and I enjoy going to concerts! If I am not at home you can probably find me at Starbucks or Target! Even though I have fun indoors, I LOVE being outside! I like to go hiking, kayaking, camping, and scuba diving!
I can't wait to get to know more about you as we learn to grow as learners this year!
Third grade here we come! (:
