My name is Imelda Cervantes and I am so excited to be a part of McGhee Elementary! This is my seventh year teaching and I know that it will be a wonderful experience.  I worked in many classrooms prior to teaching, as a teacher's aide. I am now returning to McGhee for another fantastic year as a  4th grade dual language teacher. I am so excited to share my passion for reading and writing with the new upcoming 4th graders of McGhee Elementary.

I graduated from University of Houston – Clear Lake, TX, where I obtained my Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 with bilingual supplemental. I am truly excited about another great school year and am dedicated to the success of all my students. Some things that I enjoy doing are  reading, singing, running, being involved in church activities, and spending quality time with my family.
