Welcome!

My name is Alison Pruitt and I will be your 3rd-grade math and science teacher. This will be my fifth year teaching in Channelview ISD but this will be my sixth year working in the district. I graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in May 2019 with a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary studies with certifications to teach early childhood-6th grade general education and English as a second language, early childhood-12th grade. 

When I'm not teaching, I love singing and listening to music with my beautiful dog, Doug. I love to watch classic Disney movies and eat pepperoni pizza. I love going to see musicals with my sister downtown. lastly, I love spending time with my awesome friends. 

I love what I do and am excited to start teaching your wonderful children. One of my favorite quotes comes from "Finding Nemo" a very special fish named Dory said, "just keep swimming, just keep swimming." This quote says to me that even when something is hard if you keep trying, you will eventually succeed!
