Hello friends welcome to Pre-K! We are your teachers  Ms. Barrera and Mrs. Blanca  and we are so excited to get to know each and every one of you. We will be having a lot of fun learning through song, game, and movement.

My name is Diana Carolina Barrera Triviño. This is my third year at the Barrett/Lee Early Childhood Center, and I am excited to create an engaging and creative learning space for my students. A little about me, I am a graduate of the University of Colorado Denver, GO BUFFALOS. Even though I went to school out of state, I am a native Houstonian. The delicious food, the beautiful music, and the perfect mix of cultures make me proud to be Houston strong. Teaching Pre-K is an awesome responsibility. Learning can be fun; however, it should be meaningful for our students as well as beneficial in their day-to-day life. My teaching muses and influences include Pedagogy for the Oppressed, Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria, and Red Pedagogy. In my free time I enjoy traveling, rescuing animals, and family time with my husband and children at Eastwood park.

¡Bienvenidos a mi clase! 

Mi nombre es Diana Carolina Barrera Triviño  y estoy entusiasmada en facilitar un espacio de aprendizaje motivante y creativo. Sobre mí brevemente, me gradué de la Universidad de Colorado en Denver ¡ARRIBA BÚFALOS! Aunque estudié fuera del estado, soy nativa de Houston. Su deliciosa comida, la bella música, y la mezcla perfecta de culturas me enorgullecen. El enseñar de Pre-K en una responsabilidad asombrosa. El aprendizaje puede ser divertido, sin embargo debe estar lleno de significado para nuestros estudiantes así como también beneficioso en su diiario vivir. Mis musas e influencias en educación incluyen La Pedigoía Para el Oprimido, Por Qué Todos Los Niños Negros Se Sientan Juntos en la Cafetería, y Pedigoía Roja. En mi tiempo libre disfruto viajar, rescatar animales, y el tiempo familiar con mi esposo y mis hijas en el parque Eastwood.
