Service Record Requests
A service record is a document used to record years of service within a school district, including sick and personal leave days accumulated. In accordance with Texas Education Code §21.4031, districts are required to provide the record no later than the 30th day after the date of request or the last day of the individual's employment, whichever is later.
Requests Are Processed As Follows:
Unofficial Service Records for degree plans and certification during the school year will NOT include the current school year and may take 10-14 days to be processed. Please note that a district has up to 30 days by law to process a request. Processing time is determined by the volume of requests at the time.
Official Service Records for employees leaving during the school year will be processed after the employee receives their last paycheck.
Official Service Records for employees leaving at the end of each school year will be processed after July 15th of that year.
