My name is Nathan Cassidy. I am the Math Instructional Coach at Alice Johnson Junior High.
I graduated from Adrian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. I also earned my Master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.
I moved to Houston, TX in 2011 and worked as a full-time math tutor at Jesse H. Jones high school from 2011-2013 in the Apollo Math Program. After my second year of tutoring, I earned my certification to teach secondary math and accepted my first job here at Alice Johnson Junior High School.
I taught Algebra I, 8th Grade math, and 7th Grade CAAP from 2013-2021 before transitioning into my new role as instructional coach. I also currently coach 8th grade Football, 7th Grade Boys' Basketball, and Boys' Track.
In the 2013-2014 school year, I was awarded Alice Johnson Rising Star Award. In the 2015-2016 school year, I was awarded Alice Johnson teacher of the year.
I love what I do and I am fully dedicated to ensuring all scholars at Alice Johnson have success in and out of the classroom. Thanks for visiting and I look forward to a great school year!

Me gradué de Adrian College con una licenciatura en Artes en Matemáticas. También obtuve mi Maestría en Administración Educativa de la Universidad de Lamar.

Enseñé Álgebra I, Matemáticas de 8.º grado y CAAP de 7.º grado de 2013 a 2021 antes de hacer la transición a mi nuevo rol como entrenador de instrucción. Actualmente, también entreno fútbol americano de octavo grado, baloncesto masculino de séptimo grado y atletismo masculino.
En el año escolar 2013-2014, me otorgaron el premio Alice Johnson Rising Star. En el año escolar 2015-2016, fui galardonada como maestra del año de Alice Johnson.
