My name is Carlos Avelar-Rodas (Just Mr. Rodas is fine). I am so thrilled to continue teaching 6th Grade Science here at Alice Johnson. I am so excited to have students back on campus. I graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in Science. Furthermore, I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Science Education (I guess you can tell I love science). In addition to being a science nerd, I love traveling, reading, swimming, hiking, and exploring!

I will be teaching 6th Grade Science this year!

My most important classroom rules are the following:

1. Be kind
2. Be prepared to learn
3. Follow directions the first time they are given
